Shopping

The City of Timmins serves as the regional centre and hub for shopping and offers many options for stores and services.

Big Box Stores & Shopping Centres

At the west end of Timmins you’ll find large retail outlets such as Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart. You will also find the Timmins Square, one of the largest shopping malls in Northeastern Ontario, and home to over 50 shops and service providers, popular fashion outlets, home furnishings, and electronics stores.

The 101 Mall is a centrally located multi-use shopping centre boasting both retail and service–oriented businesses. Parking is available for 100 vehicles on site and there are 1,000 more parking spaces within three minutes! The 101 Mall is also in the immediate vicinity of the Timmins downtown core, the main transit terminal, the public library, and City Hall.

The Porcupine Mall is nestled between the communities of Porcupine and South Porcupine in the east end of the Timmins. The mall is home to Giant Tiger, a financial institution, a dollar store, and several other shops and services.

Downtown

Timmins has not just one downtown, but three! Timmins’ City Centre, as well as the hamlets of South Porcupine and Schumacher, offers many options for services and stores.

Downtown Timmins is a vibrant shopping area in the centre of the community and boasts a mix of around 200 businesses. The area is home to cafes and restaurants, clothing boutiques, unique giftware, fine furniture, and major financial institutions. In the summer months, the area becomes an urban park filled with great music, merchants, fabulous food, and the Farmers Market.
